Lachlan Tanner started Taniko in 2018. From a young age , Lachlan always loved building, whether it was lego or alike, he pursued this all the way into high school. After a week of construction work experience with his future boss, he was hooked. Lachlan's grandfather owned the timber mill back in the 1930s (Tanner Middleton Pty Ltd) in Sydney's Inner West. Lachlan's father would take him to Pilliga NSW where they would cut up the logs and truck them down to the city, adding to his fascination with the industry.  

Something that has stuck with Lachlan throughout his career, is his grandmother's advice when he started his apprenticeship “Make sure you build it like you’re going to live in it one day” At Taniko we bring that into every working day. No matter the size of the build, we make the commitment of a long lasting build that we would be happy and proud to live in one day.
